Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback Jordan Love was the only addition to the team’s injury report on Friday. Love missed practice on Friday due to an unexplained ailment. According to Friday’s transaction wire, the Packers did not place him on the COVID-19 reserve list, suggesting that the sickness is unconnected. Love, the Packers’ first-round choice, has not appeared in a game in 2020. In reality, he has been inactive as the No. 3 quarterback for the first three weeks of the season. Timothy Boyle is Aaron Rodgers’ primary backup.

The Packers were without Love, receiver Allen Lazard (core), tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee), and linebacker Christian Kirksey (pectoral) during Friday’s second session of Week 4. Tight end Josiah Deguara (ankle) returned as a limited participant. Receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) and defensive lineman Kenny Clark (groin) practiced Tuesday but were limited. The Atlanta Falcons, who were without seven starters at practice on Thursday, welcomed back three on Friday: defensive lineman Grady Jarrett, defensive end Dante Fowler, and receiver Calvin Ridley. All three were limited, as was receiver Julio Jones for the second consecutive day. Safety Keanu Neal, Ricardo Allen, kicker Younghoe Koo, and defensive end Takk McKinley all skipped practice for the second day in a row.

NFL players frequently discuss a 24-hour rule, which allows them to celebrate or lament a result before moving on to the next game. However, it is more difficult to forget a loss when there isn’t another game right in front of you. This was the situation that Packers quarterback Jordan Love found himself in after going 16-of-30 for 182 yards and three interceptions in a Week 5 defeat to the Raiders. Love stated on Wednesday that the loss lingered longer than others due to the way the schedule was set up, and he hopes the prolonged unpleasant sentiments will help him lead the Packers to victory this week.

“It’s not a great feeling, definitely left a very sick taste in my mouth that whole week,” Love told Madison.com’s Jason Wilde. “But that’s part of the game. I’ve had games with three interceptions before. You need to find a means to recover. Having that awful taste in my mouth will keep pushing me forward, driving me to keep striving and improve.” The Packers will face the Broncos, and Denver has had a long period to wallow in despair after losing to the Chiefs last Thursday. On Sunday, we’ll find out which team was able to better channel their negative emotions.
