According to Sky Sports News, Leicester City is one of six Premier League clubs that have been advised they must sell players by the end of June to meet profit and sustainability standards. According to reports, the clubs in consideration are Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Everton, and the freshly promoted Leicester City. Failure to comply could result in points deductions next season, similar to those imposed on Everton and Forest last season.

The Foxes are already facing a points penalty for breaking player spending regulations during their previous Premier League season. The most recent claim says that selling players is critical in order to avoid even harsher punishments. According to the Sky story, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Nottingham Forest, and Leicester are all concerned about losing a key asset or two before the start of the next fiscal year. “The magic sum that each club needs to recoup is a closely guarded secret, but the situation they find themselves in is leading towards a mini transfer deadline day on June 30.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has long been linked with a summer move, given his immense value to the Foxes as a homegrown player who would earn nearly pure profit if sold. Other choices include goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, but a deal with KDH would be the most profitable – and he is in high demand. Although the club’s title-winning player has vowed to stay at the King Power Stadium, financial realities may force City to cash in on an asset worth up to £40 million, though rivals will undoubtedly drive a hard bargain if they know the Foxes are under pressure to sell quickly.

According to the most recent Sky Bet transfer odds, Brighton and Manchester United are KDH’s top suitors, while Liverpool and Chelsea have also been connected. It is simply another aspect that will make it more difficult for the Foxes to persuade a top-ranked candidate to succeed Enzo Maresca, who resigned as head coach to join Chelsea earlier this week.
