Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur are expected to remain with the Green Bay Packers for the foreseeable future. Both LaFleur and Love have established themselves as franchise mainstays moving ahead. After the 2023 season, Love earned a large pay day, which will most likely be completed before the start of training camp. That being stated, Love expressed his feelings about his head coach.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love opens up about head coach Matt LaFleur.
According to Matt Schneidman from The Athletic: Jordan Love believes he and Matt have a deeper understanding of each other. Matt is wonderful. Everyone adores and respects Matt.” Love continued: “Very special,” Love remarked. “I believe we formed a bond last year. Through adversity, we became much closer. We continued on to the run at the end there. Coming into OTAs, there’s a lot of enthusiasm in the building. Since I’ve been here, I believe this is the closest the team has ever been, which is fantastic to witness.”
Matt LaFleur, Love’s head coach, has also expressed satisfaction with the Packers’ performance. “There’s obviously been a lot of learning that’s taken place,” LaFleur added. “I’m quite delighted with where we are right now. Not only does coherence exist on the field, but also off it. I believe that every time we enter the meeting rooms, there is a lot of enthusiasm and engagement between the guys. “I believe that’s part of the process.”
Love is often referred to as a youthful quarterback, but he points out that this is his fifth season in the NFL. Last season was his first as a starter. “I’ve been here awhile,” Love added. “At the same time, last year was my first year as a starting quarterback, so I got a lot of in-game experience. So I fully get that. This is only my second season as the starter. I’m still learning new things every day. I still have a lot to learn and improve in my game. So I’m just taking it step by step. But I don’t listen to outside noise or anything like that. I feel like a veteran, especially on such a young team.”
The Packers have every reason to be confident heading into 2024.
