The Packers have a stacked wide receiver room. The starting wide receivers this season will be Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs. Dontayvion Wicks is the next wide receiver in line in case someone is hurt. Following that, Bo Melton and Malik Heath are expected to join the roster. On Tuesday, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur chatted with Matt Schneidman of Green Bay Packers The Athletic Beat. LaFleur told the reporters about wide receiver Bo Melton:

“He has a canine mentality, whether it’s running, passing, or whatever. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get out on the field, and I believe he’s accepted that. He has embraced his responsibility and excelled at it.” Bo Melton is doing everything he can to make the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster this season. He was added to the roster late last season after the Packers suffered injuries at wide receiver. Last season, Melton became the first wide receiver on the Packers’ roster to have more than 100 receiving yards in a single game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jayden Reed recorded more than 100 receiving yards the next week against the Chicago Bears. If Bo Melton is doing this throughout practice, it only goes to show how deep the Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver corps is. During Green Bay Packers practice on Tuesday, Jordan Love dropped passes to second-string wide receivers, which is a positive sign. Hopefully, the Green Bay Packers do not suffer another wide receiver injury, but if they do, Bo Melton will be eager for an opportunity to shine.
