Graham Potter remains the most likely candidate to succeed Enzo Maresca at Leicester City, but there are three distinct options in the latest supporter reaction. Maresca’s announcement at Chelsea is scheduled to take place on Monday, following the signing of his five-year deal and all compensation agreements reached over the weekend. The Foxes are allegedly set to earn £10 million for the leaving Italian and his coaching team.

This will give around a month until the first players return for pre-season training, and by then, a successor should have been identified, ready to begin preparations for life back in the Premier League. Different names have been suggested as bookmakers open the market for the next City manager, and Leicestershire Live wants to hear directly from you. To that end, a poll has been open across our content this week.

The early results of the quiz confirmed one fact in particular: there was a clear favourite among Foxes fans for the role. That was Graham Potter, who received 47% of the initial vote. Looking at the revised figures five days later, the 49-year-old remains a nearly as popular choice for a transfer to the East Midlands, with 45% of the current vote. However, Potter appears to be in high demand, so fans may not receive what they desire.

According to The Athletic, the Englishman’s old club Brighton are looking into the idea of him returning to the South Coast after parting ways with Roberto De Zerbi last month. It is also believed that he is waiting to see what happens with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United and Gareth Southgate at England before returning to manager. If Potter is not available, three other candidates look to be in close contention among fans. They are the bookies’ favourite Carlos Corberan (14%), former PSV Eindhoven manager Ruud van Nistelrooy (13%), and newly-available David Moyes (13%). The remaining options receive a little fraction of the remaining votes.
