Quentin Moses, a former NFL linebacker, and two other people perished in a house fire in Georgia, according to fire officials.

Chief Keith Glass of the Monroe Fire Department informs the local press that the fire began at around six in the morning on Sunday, killing Moses, 33, Andria Godard, 31, and her 10-year-old daughter, Jasmine Godard. After being discovered unconscious, Moses was taken outside the home. At the hospital, they declared him dead.

From 2003 to 2005, Moses played defensive end for the Georgia Bulldogs. From 2007 to 2010, he was a linebacker with the Miami Dolphins for four seasons.

Moses worked as Reinhardt University’s assistant coach.

Glass said that when firefighters got there, the house was completely on fire. The reason behind the fire is being looked into.
