College players who are one-and-done and foreign talents are likely to be at the top of the 2024 NBA Draft. However, a number of multiyear NCAA players will have heard their names called by the time the first round ends.
Players like Donovan Clingan and Dalton Knecht are set to be role models for what happens to a player’s stock when they return to college for one more year of development. Both might have turned pro following the 2022–2023 campaign. They decided to give it another year, and after improving their games, they are now recognized as possible lottery selections.
This mock draft’s first round includes 11 players who played collegiate basketball for at least two seasons. Many of these could be considered steals in a class that is thought to be quite weak.
For marginal prospects, staying in college basketball has never been more alluring because of new regulations that enable players to take use of their abilities and transfer freely.
