Wildcat CJaxson Robinson  is. The 6-foot-7 wing, according to ESPN college basketball reporter Jeff Borzello, has taken his name out of the NBA Draft and will play with Mark Pope at Kentucky again. With Robinson’s arrival, Pope’s first season leading the Wildcats will have 12 scholarship players.

The previous two seasons, Robinson was coached by Mark Pope, the head coach of BYU. Robinson established a niche for himself off the bench during his final season with the Cougars, averaging 14.2 points per game and shooting 35.4 percent from three-point range. In addition to being voted Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year, he was named honorable mention All-Big 12.

In BYU’s victory over Denver, Robinson scored his highest-scoring game of the year with 28 points, going 8-16 from beyond the arc. He scored 25 points, five of which came from three-point range, in the Cougars’ season-ending NCAA Tournament matchup against Duquesne.

Robinson played in 66 games, including 36 starts, for Pope and the Cougars throughout the course of his two-year contract, averaging 27.3 minutes per game. 43 times, he scored in double figures, including five occasions when he had 20 points or more.

At Texas A&M, Robinson started his collegiate career in the SEC. As a four-star recruit, he signed with the Aggies and made his true freshman debut in 14 games that season. The following season, Robinson relocated to Fayetteville, where he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks in 16 games and averaged 3.4 points per contest. He made 33% of his shots from deep and 38% from the floor there.
