Rumours circulated that Still was close to a job at the Stadium of Light, but the talk has yet to be confirmed.
Now, Romano has released an update on the former Reims manager, implying that nothing is imminent between Sunderland and Still, with the out-of-work head coach looking for his next opportunity. He stated: “Former Reims manager Will Still is open to new projects after leaving the club at the start of the month. Understand Still has signed with Unique Sports Group as a new agency, eager for new opportunities. Who is Will Still? Still is a Belgian-English football manager who was previously the head coach of Ligue 1 team Reims in France. He gained the attention of football circles and fans on social media after being moderately successful at only 31 years old.
Still garnered social media momentum after admitting to practicing some of his abilities on the renowned computer game Football Manager. The highly regarded coach led Reims to an eleventh-place finish in Ligue 1 in 2022-23 before departing the club this season.
