Former Maidenhead United defender Max Kilman has been the subject of transfer rumours and speculation over the last two transfer windows, despite staying a Wolverhampton Wanderers player. In 2018, the defender joined Wolves for a reported £40,000 from Vanarama National League Maidenhead United, which included a sell-on clause. In the Summer 2023 transfer window, Italian champions Napoli were circling with bids of around €35 million. That agreement did not materialize, and Kilman instead signed a new contract with Wolves in August. However, during the January transfer window, West Ham United expressed interest in the defender.
