According to Football Insider, Sunderland have interviewed Will Still, who is still a candidate for the vacant management position. Sunderland is still looking for a new manager as they want to build on a disastrous 2023/24 season. Michael Beale left the Black Cats in February, and Mike Dodds led the team until the end of the season. They finished 16th, a long way from the playoff spots they earned the previous season.

Pressure is on the board to get this appointment right following some questionable calls, and while there is still plenty of summer left, patience will wear thin among supporters as their new manager search drags on and other clubs bring in their own managers. Will Still, a highly regarded manager, has previously been linked with Sunderland, but indications indicate that the club is searching elsewhere. However, new claims suggest that he may still be in a strong position to land the gig. According to Football Insider, the Black Cats have interviewed Still, and despite previous doubts about his fit at the Stadium of Light, he is still ‘firmly in the race’ for the position.
