The Dallas Cowboys’ worst nightmare

In a pitiful display on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys 31-10. Against Buffalo’s tough defense, the Cowboys were unable to establish a rhythm on offense or defense. Dak Prescott, the quarterback, had a marred MVP candidacy after being sacked three times and throwing an interception. These are the difficult questions the Cowboys need to address in order to move past their most abject 2023 performance.

As an NFL team made up of human beings, mistakes will inevitably be made. Though it’s still too early to panic, Sunday dealt a serious blow to quarterback Dak Prescott’s ascent to MVP status. Prescott played the whole game, finishing with a season-low 134 yards through 21 completions. He was sacked three times, ending his five-game run without an interception. When compared to other quarterbacks who participated in Sunday’s game, Dak’s performance seemed lackluster. Not the best of circumstances, given 49ers Brock Purdy’s big day.

It took Prescott a while to settle into a rhythm until trash time. The offense was sluggish at first, failing to hit the end zone for fifty-seven minutes. Prescott’s MVP window may disappear if he doesn’t make a significant comeback against Miami the following week.

Is Dak able to recover? Yes, would answer the majority of NFL fans who watch even a little football. Prescott’s dismal 31-10 showing severely damaged his MVP campaign. On Christmas Eve, he will take on the ninth-ranked Miami defense. A productive, multi-touchdown game devoid of turnovers would probably spark his MVP candidacy again. Given how well Dak has performed against Dallas’s most difficult cornerback matchups, it is conceivable. Dallas might receive a gift from Dak on Christmas Eve.
