“Surprisingly,” the Dolphins sent the franchise record holder for……

The Miami Dolphins, who boasted one of the top running back groups in football the previous season, were surprised to select Jaylen Wright in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Raheem Mostert, however, is 32 years old and has the record for most touchdowns scored in a single season in Dolphins history with 21. Joe Tansey of Bleacher Report suggested a “shocking” deal that would send him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, stating that his age might be a factor in his status as a player.

In his May 22 essay examining trade possibilities the Dolphins could consider before the season, Tansey stated, “Raheem Mostert’s spot on Miami’s running back depth chart could be taken over quickly in 2024.” “Mostert, a 32-year-old running back, has been an essential component of the team’s success under Mike McDaniel.

“If the new group of ball carriers performs well, the Dolphins may decide this season to sell high on Mostert’s career. With his speed from the previous season, De’Von Achane had flashes of brilliance, and Miami might add another speedier aspect to their offense with 2024 draft pick Jaylen Wright. There’s a long-shot possibility that Mostert finds himself seeking for a new place by the middle of the season as the two young running backs phase him out.
