The player was surprised by Kentucky’s offer because of the…..
Although other teams have been recruiting players for years, the Kentucky Wildcats are still accepting applications from the class of 2025. However, there are occasions when it may be too late to enroll.
In other situations, players can be getting noticed by teams at the perfect moment.
That’s what Serious Stinyard is going through. As he approaches his senior year, a number of organizations are beginning to show interest in Tampa, Florida native Stinyard, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback.
It wasn’t until February of this year that Stinyard got his first offer from USF. His recruiting has been growing ever since.
On Saturday, May 4, Kentucky made him an offer; Stinyard was completely unprepared for it.
Stinyard tells A Sea of Blue, “It felt great.” “The UK was a very welcome surprise.”
The defensive backs coach, Chris Collins, is the member of the coaching staff that Stinyard has been speaking with. Plans are on for him to make an official school visit between this month’s 21st and 23rd.
Many of the cornerbacks that Stinyard has watched succeed for Kentucky and move on to the NFL include Kelvin Joseph, Carrington Valentine, Brandin Echols, and others. The outcome might have a significant impact on Stinyard.
“Yes, one of my primary priorities when selecting my future home is player development and pushing guys to the next level,” Stinyard states.
Stinyard is still planning formal visits at this stage of the search process, hoping to make an announcement in late July or early August. When he commits, he intends to focus on the school as well as playing on the field.
Stinyard stated, “I’m looking for a few things: a school that wants and needs me in their program, a stable coaching community—that is, coaches that are going to be there for three or more years—and a decent degree.
Even though he is considering all options, he could see himself playing in the blue and white next.
“How could I not see myself playing in that blue and white?!” said Stinyard.
