West Ham United are leading the race to sign Corinthians winger Wesley as they seek to build a solid squad for the future.
Globo Esporte reported recently that West Ham United is winning the fight to sign Corinthians winger Wesley. It has been reported that the Hammers are the favourites to sign the Brazilian teenager this summer.

Wesley’s Rapid Rise in Brazilian Football
Wesley progressed through Corinthians’ youth divisions and has recently established himself as a first-team starter. The 19-year-old has made 63 senior appearances for the Brazilian club, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in various competitions.

This season, the Brazilian prospect has consistently performed well for Corinthians, averaging 1.3 shoots, 1.5 key passes, 0.8 dribbles, and 3.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Brasileirao. He was even accurate while distributing the ball in the opposing half, completing 79.8% of his attempted passes in the Brazilian first division (data from whoscored).

His current deal with the Brazilian club expires at the end of 2027. As a result, if West Ham are serious about signing Wesley later this summer, they will need to make a compelling offer.

West Ham United are leading the race for Wesley: Is he a future prospect?
Wesley is adept at creating space for himself and can be a dangerous finisher in front of the opponent’s net. He can even generate opportunities for his teammates on the attacking end of the field and is a good dribbler with the ball.

However, the Brazilian prodigy is still inexperienced and will need time to prove his worth in the Premier League. Still, there is no disputing that he is a prospect to keep an eye on in the future. West Ham would be wise to try to bring him to the London Stadium during the summer transfer window.

Wesley, 19, has a bright future ahead of him and would be an excellent, long-term signing for the Hammers to make this offseason. The Brazilian wide player has the potential to be a long-term success story for the East London club. Thus, it makes sense for West Ham to go all out to sign Wesley later this summer.
