Wilfred Ndidi, a Leicester City and Super Eagles midfielder, has said that he is open to playing away from the King Power next season, according to Soccernet.ng.

The 27-year-old was a key player of Leicester City’s team as the club regained top-flight status by winning the EFL Championship.

Ndidi’s contract expires in June, and Leicester manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that the club will not hold contract talks until the end of the season.

Soccernet.ng previously stated that Barcelona, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur Newcastle, West Ham United, and Aston Villa had showed interest in signing the player as a free agent in the coming weeks.

The Nigerian midfielder has also stated that his next club will ideally be a top-six Premier League squad. Aside from that, the former Genk man is considering a move away from England.

 

Ndidi’s future at Leicester
The Super Eagles midfielder is delighted to be in the English Premier League after their relegation was confirmed on the final matchday of the season.

“It’s fantastic to be back in the Premier League after being relegated, and struggling back to the EPL is something we don’t want to do again. I believe morale is strong, expectations are high, and we must ensure we do not return to the Championship. “It’s a difficult place to play,” the talented midfielder told Complete Sports.

While he has his eyes set on a move, Ndidi respects his position with The Foxes, since he is still under contract with them until June.

“If a good chance comes, I won’t mind trying my luck elsewhere but for now I remain a Leicester player,” Ndidi stated.
