Leicester City bid €77 million for London base striker ahead of summer transfer.

Leicester City will aim to enhance their team after returning to the Premier League, and this center back has been connected.

Gabriel Pereira has written what appears to be a farewell message to his Gil Vicente teammates.

The 24-year-old was sent off in what appears to be his final encounter for the Portuguese club, although seven minutes into extra time following a 1-0 defeat to Estrela Amadora. As a consequence of the season finale, both teams will continue in the Primeira Liga.

However, whether Gil Vicente’s centre back sticks with the team remains to be seen, since gossip has linked him with Leicester City. According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Pereira is a key target for the Foxes, who attempted to bring him to the King Power Stadium in January but were turned down.

Gil Vicente is thought to be more inclined to negotiate, and they want €7 million for the Brazilian, who has two years left on the contract he signed when he moved from Vilafranquense.

Unfortunately for City, Benfica, Braga, Lyon, and Udinese are all rumored to be interested; nonetheless, it appears that Pereira is preparing to depart.

He resorted to social media to convey a message to his present club, which read like a goodbye. He wrote, “End of the season!!! I just want to thank God for everything he has done in my life, for keeping me alive and allowing me to complete another age. It was a pleasure to be a part of this group; I will miss every moment, every workout, every game, and every laugh; it was an incredible experience. “Thank you for everything, FAMILY.”

Last season, Pereira played 30 league games and scored four goals for Gil Vicente, all of which came from the middle of the defense. Born in Brazil, he has been playing in Portugal since 2021.
