The 28-year-old defender has been a valuable member of their team, and he will return to his original club after his loan period expires.

Aston Villa’s director of football, Damia Vidagany, has acknowledged to MARCA that the West Midlands club is planning for a busy transfer window as they aim to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Regarding Lenglet, he stated: “In principle, he has a one-year loan without option to buy and has to return to Barcelona, but he has had an impressive season and I think he is at the level of any centre-back in the Spanish La Liga” .

It would be intriguing to see if they can bring in quality recruits during the summer transfer window and significantly enhance the roster. They will require superior players to perform well in the Champions League next season. With more matchups coming up, they will need a deeper team to compete in various competitions.

It remains to be seen if they can sign quality defenders this summer. They’ll need to replace Lengelt as well.

The 28-year-old central defender hopes to leave Barcelona permanently during the summer transfer window. It is evident that he has no future at the Spanish club, and he should join a team where he can make regular payments.

It remains to be seen where he will end up. The French international possesses the ability to compete at the highest level, and he is unlikely to face a shortage of suitors this summer.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa has appeared weak at the back at times this season, and it remains to be seen whether they can fill the voids in their roster before the new season begins.
