The Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love are expected to be together for a long time. The 25-year-old quarterback demonstrated to the Packers and the rest of the NFL that he possesses the necessary skills to become the next franchise quarterback.

According to Matt Schneidman from The Athletic:

Jordan Love founded the Hands of 10ve Foundation.

Its objective is to inspire children to participate in sports, raise awareness about mental health and suicide, and connect police enforcement and the community.

Love lost his father, a retired cop, to suicide in 2013.

The Green Bay Charity Softball Game in Appleton will support Love’s Foundation.

The hosts are Love and Donald Driver, and other confirmed participants include Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, Tucker Kraft, and Eric Wilson.

Love has already discussed losing his father, a police officer, to suicide when he was 14, and how it affected him as a player and a person.

“That is my superhero.” My parents were my heroes. “Both were police officers,” Love explained. “I’ve heard stories of my dad fighting crime. He looks like a superhero. Losing him was difficult.”

Matt Schneidman reports that Jordan Love and former Packers wide receiver Donald Driver co-hosted the Green Bay Charity Softball Game in Appleton.

“Try to get kids more involved in sports, try to get the police and sheriff’s departments into the community more,” he stated. “And bring more attention to mental health issues and suicide.”
