The Kentucky football program continued to deliver a steady supply of talent into the professional ranks even though Mark Stoops failed to produce any first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Ray Davis was selected in the fourth round, Dru Phillips and Trevin Wallace in the third, and Devin Leary in the sixth. Still, there are other Kentucky Wildcats vying for spots on the NFL roster this summer.

After falling into the seventh round, tight end Brendan Bates, wide receiver Tayvion Robinson, and offensive tackle Jeremy Flax all signed as undrafted free agents with NFL teams. Robinson is going to the Baltimore Ravens, Flax to the Minnesota Vikings, and Bates to the Chicago Bears.

Williams led the offensive line at Kentucky to two second-team All-SEC selections and helped spark some of the most successful offensive campaigns in program history for the Wildcats. But Williams had a knee injury as a senior that kept him out of the NFL draft in 2009 and forced him to miss two games.

Williams ended himself in Carolina after falling through the draft ranks, where he played for the Panthers for his entire five-year NFL career. He participated in seven games as a rookie but did not record an offensive line start.

In his second season, Williams became a primary starter, playing in 16 games with 11 starts, mostly at right tackle. Ahead of the 2012 season, Williams was likely to be a starter on Carolina’s offensive line but suffered a broken ankle in the final preseason game which derailed his career.

Williams started 10 more games from 2012-14 before his career ended.
