The Green Bay Packers and the rest of the NFL are looking forward to the publication of the 2024 schedule. While their opponents have been known for weeks, the specific dates on which they will play are uncertain. What is known is that the Packers will open the 2024 NFL season in Brazil.
The NFL announced weeks ago that the Packers and Philadelphia Eagles will play the first-ever NFL game in South America. The game will take place on Friday, September 6, at Sao Paolo’s Corinthians Arena. The NFL published the remainder of its foreign schedule early Wednesday morning. The Green Bay Packers are one of three NFC North teams playing internationally in 2024.
According to the foreign schedule revealed this morning, the NFL will play five games abroad this season. Packers against Eagles in São Paulo (September 6, Peacock) New York Jets against Minnesota Vikings in London (October 6, NFL Network). Jacksonville Jaguars against Chicago Bears in London (October 13, NFL Network) New England Patriots versus. Jacksonville Jaguars in London (October 20, NFL Network) New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers at Munich, Germany (November 10 on NFL Network).
As previously stated, the Detroit Lions are the only NFC North team without an international game this year. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will meet his old adversary, the Minnesota Vikings, who also have his former colleague, running back Aaron Jones. The first two London games will be contested at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the final one at Wembley Stadium. The Green Bay Packers Expect to Have a Better International Game Than Last Time
The Packers suffered a 27-22 loss to the New York Giants in London on October 9, 2022. Aaron Rodgers completed 25 of his 39 throws for 222 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Jones rushed 13 times for 63 yards but did not score. Randall Cobb’s seven receptions for 99 yards were a forgettable effort from that game. Those numbers are higher than he had in his whole season with the New York Jets in 2023.
