Tyreek Hill has issued a warning to other teams after the Miami Dolphins signed Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
“It’s about to get ugly in Miami,” Hill wrote on X immediately after the agreement, which was announced on May 3.
Hill had posted a tweet from the NFL’s official page on X announcing the agreement, with the wide receiver adding a sunglasses emoji in apparent appreciation of the decision.
Beckham had been in talks with the Dolphins about a contract weeks ago, but the two parties could not reach an agreement until late this week. With the acquisition, the Dolphins added a veteran wide out looking to rebound after injuries derailed his career.
Beckham’s signing provides depth behind Hill and colleague Jaylen Waddle, and it comes after the team added more talent through the NFL Draft. The Dolphins drafted Virginia wide out Malik Washington in the sixth round and USC receiver Tahj Washington in the seventh.
Beckham is coming off a season in which he caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three scores despite missing some time due to an ankle issue. He missed the whole 2022 season while recovering a ruptured ACL sustained in a Super Bowl victory with the Los Angeles Rams.
