Due to the death of Art Rooney II, owner of the Steelers, the NFL has cancelled the match between the Pittsburgh…

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day 2024, but the location of the game will be unprecedented in NFL history. This week is noteworthy on the NFL offseason schedule since the league is likely to announce the exact specifics of each team’s 2024 schedules. Certain details have already been revealed in recent days to pique anticipation in the eventual release of the whole overview.

However, on Wednesday, it was revealed that Netflix had secured a three-year agreement with the NFL to be the exclusive broadcaster of both of the NFL’s Christmas Day games. The giant streaming service is likely to pay just around $1 billion — or slightly less than $150 million each game — for the Week 17 duel as part of their ongoing effort to broadcast live sports. Along with the revelation of Netflix’s entry into the NFL market, Bleacher Report NFL source Jordan Schultz stated that one of the games that the service will feature is a Week 17 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Netflix has been making a serious attempt to compete with AppleTV+ and Amazon Prime for live sports offers on its platform, but has had little success until recently. Earlier this year, the service struck a contract with WWE to be the official home of the weekly flagship show Monday Night Raw, as well as the highly anticipated July boxing match between heavyweight great Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
