Florida gators football has been quiet since the spring transfer…

As the spring transfer portal closes, Florida Football has been rather quiet. The Gators had only two players enter the portal during the spring season and have only gotten one out (Jason Zandamela).

However, one of the Gators’ potential weak places has not been entirely addressed this summer, and Florida will have one last chance to strengthen the group next week.

After missing out on Colorado State’s Justus Ross-Simmons, Billy Napier and his team have turned their attention to Arizona State’s wide receiver Elijhah Badger.

Badger’s stats speak for themselves, with two consecutive seasons of at least 65 catches and 700 yards. But what strikes out on film is that once he gets the ball, he wastes no time moving upfield. He simply catches, plants his foot, and moves upfield.

Bagder averaged 8.4 yards after the catch in 2023. In comparison, Tre Wilson averaged 7.9.

There have been rumors about a back injury and whether Badger will still be the same athlete. There’s also the truth that Florida already has 85 scholarship players, so Napier would have to play a shell game to get Badger on the team.

According to 247 and On3, Napier will be visiting next week, so he must be willing to play the shell game.
