The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Wimsatt, a 4-star prospect in the 2021 class, started 18 games for the Scarlett Knights over three years, throwing 212/455 passes (46.6%) for 2,537 yards and 14 touchdowns to 17 interceptions. He has also has 180 career carries for 628 yards (3.5 average) and 11 touchdowns.
Last season, Wimsatt completed 138/289 passes (47.8%) for 1,735 yards and nine touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also rushed 131 times for 497 yards (3.8 average) and 11 touchdowns.
