Pittsburgh — According to the most recent NFLPA Team Report Cards, Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II was not well-liked by his players. Respondents to the survey praised head coach Mike Tomlin but claimed the Steelers fall behind other corporations in terms of workplace standards, ranking Rooney as the league’s 31st-best owner out of 32.

“There is little confidence among respondents in the willingness of club owner Art Rooney ll to invest in a better workplace, as he ranks second to last in this year’s report,” a Steelers-specific analysis of the report card noted. The survey includes specific complaints. The first item on the list was the lack of a family room or daycare facility for their children on game days. The Steelers are one of four teams that do not provide such a service. The Steelers were also one of seven teams alleged to have a weight room that was no better than where players may train off-site. Players also believed that there wasn’t enough staff in the training area to provide everyone with customized care.

Finally, the Steelers finished in the worst third of the league in terms of family care, nutritionist/dietician, locker room, training room and staff, weight room, team travel, and ownership.
