Lucas Patrick, the former Green Bay Packers starting center, has found a new home after patiently waiting for a contract in free agency.

Travis May of AtoZ Sports reported to X on Sunday, May 12, that Patrick has agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints.

After months of waiting in free agency, Patrick signed his next contract with the Saints. He will only be under contract in 2024 on a league-minimum deal, therefore he must perform at a high enough level to earn another contract with an NFL team in 2025.

Despite never being a spectacular player, Patrick has had a good and long NFL career. That’s especially true given how his career began.

Patrick spent several years as a starter for the Duke Blue Devils in college. By the completion of his college career, he had started 26 out of 44 games. He mostly played offensive guard, but he also had at least one start at offensive tackle.
