Rest in Peace The Los Angeles Rams have reported the death of Stan Kroenke’s wife, Ann Walton.

Ann Walton-Kroenke is Bud Walton’s daughter, and he assisted his brother, Sam, in building Walmart into a retail powerhouse. Bud died in 1995, and she received a portion of his investment in the retailer. Walton-Kroenke, a registered nurse, is not a member of Walmart’s board or management team. Her husband is Stan Kroenke, a billionaire in real estate and sports. He owns the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, and the Arsenal Football Club in the United Kingdom.

Kroenke is the eldest daughter of James “Bud” Walton, the co-founder of Wal-Mart Stores, the world’s largest retailer by revenue. After Bud died in 1995, Ann acquired half of her father’s share in the Bentonville, Arkansas-based company. Nancy, his sister, inherited the remainder. Stan Kroenke, Ann’s spouse, is a real-estate billionaire. As of May 11, 2024, the last change was $4.79 million (+0.1%). YTD change: +$1.15 billion (+16.6 percent). Kroenke’s riches is primarily derived from her ownership in Wal-Mart Stores. She is not required to reveal her stake in the company because she holds less than 5% of the outstanding shares. She acquired the share from her father, Bud Walton, who passed away in 1995. Walton owned over 40 million shares in the retailer at the time of his death, according to documents filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Kroenke inherited half of this share, according to a person familiar with the family’s assets who declined to be identified because the information is confidential. Ann’s sister Nancy is credited with the other half. The computation assumes a three-for-one stock split in 2024.

The worth of her cash investments is calculated using dividends, insider transactions, taxes, and market performance. Tomago Collins, a spokeswoman for Kroenke’s husband, did not reply to questions about the net worth assessment.
