Glorious News: The Green Bay Packers have signed an offensive weapon worth $98 million, according to reports.

The Green Bay Packers have made moves this offseason that have supporters excited for the 2024 season. While most Packers supporters found it difficult to let go of Aaron Jones, the team’s most recent signings made it easier.

The splash signings were Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs, and the draft filled key needs on the offensive line and defense. We’re now hearing that the Packers stole one of their newest weapons from the Dallas Cowboys.

According to Doric Sam of Bleacher Report, the Green Bay Packers stole a dynamic weapon from the Dallas Cowboys.

Before being selected by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft, rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd was reportedly pursued by two NFC East teams.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Dallas Cowboys “had shown enough pre-draft love” to Lloyd that the former USC speedster “thought the Cowboys would be one of the possible teams to draft him.” Additionally, the New York Giants “had [their] sights on” Lloyd “as a future lead back but didn’t have a pick between Nos. 71 and 107.” The Packers selected him at No. 88.

After moving from South Carolina to USC for the 2023 season, Lloyd accumulated 820 yards and nine touchdowns on 116 rushes, as well as 13 receptions for 232 yards, averaging 17.8 yards per catch.

Lloyd joins a Packers backfield led by Josh Jacobs, a two-time Pro Bowler who spent his first five years in Las Vegas with the Raiders. In addition, the Packers fired veteran backup A.J. Dillon, who was about to become a free agency.

Following Lloyd’s departure, the Cowboys declined to draft a running back with any of their eight picks. Meanwhile, the Giants drafted Purdue running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the fifth round.
