The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will most likely compete for the top spot in the NFC North in 2024. There appears to be a lot of excitement surrounding the Vikings and Bears, but it would be shocking to see either of them contend with two playoff-caliber teams straight away.

During the 2024 NFL Draft, one Lions fan became viral after teasing a Packers fan during Green Bay’s selection. Now he has received something exceptional from his team.

According to Derrick Hutchinson of Click On Detroit, a Detroit Lions fan who trolled a Green Bay Packers fan during the 2024 NFL Draft received a unique Aaron Rodgers gift.

It all started late in the first round of the NFL Draft in Detroit, with the Green Bay Packers selecting 25th overall. Lions supporters were ecstatic because general manager Brad Holmes had just traded up to No. 24 to get Terrion Arnold, one of the best cornerbacks available.

The Packers responded by selecting offensive tackle Jordan Morgan, who was primarily regarded as a second-round potential. The ESPN broadcast featured a Packers supporter sporting a cheesehead, and Morgan’s selection was definitely not what he expected.

A neighboring Lions fan took full advantage of his friend’s discomfort, laughing and pointed at him with both hands as the camera zoomed in and his friend’s head slumped. It was the icing on top of a fantastic night in downtown Detroit.

Lions safety Kerby Joseph enjoyed that moment so much that he sent that Lions fan a really cool gift: the cleats he was wearing when he intercepted two Aaron Rodgers throws. The Lions also knocked the Packers out of playoff contention that night.

Here’s the complete video of the moment:

The Packers fan announced the gift on his social media accounts.
Jacob Sanchez, the Packers fan shown on television, tweeted on social media about his friend’s gift:

“You made me laugh on draft night, so here are my cleats.” “I caught my first and second career interceptions from AROD,” Joseph wrote.

The Packers supporter tweeted images of his friend’s gifts with the caption, “Even though I’m supposed to hate him as a Packers fan, I don’t know how I can after this.”

It appears that the 2024 season is already off to a great start. The Lions and Packers will split the season series in 2023. It’ll be interesting to see how the rivalry plays out this year.
