The Jacksonville Jaguars announced late Sunday that cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Dante Fowler would be suspended for one week for “violating team rules and conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars football player.”

Fowler had a confrontation with teammate Yannick Ngakoue after practice, and teammates had to separate the two before they could leave the field. As the squad made its way to the locker room, the disagreement flared up again, forcing the two to be separated once more by teammates. While the brawl and debate were taking place, some members of the media present were photographing the incidents on their phones, which irritated Ramsey.

According to ESPN’s Mike DiRocco, Ramsey began yelling at the media to cease filming the altercation and using obscene language toward the reporters. After leaving the field, Ramsey took his defense of his teammates to social media, writing multiple tweets, including one directed at Florida Times Union reporter Phillip Heilman that read, “Lol if y’all want war, we got sum for y’all.”
