Glorious News For The Seattle Mariners

Seattle Mariners probable pitchers and starting lineups vs. Atlanta Braves on April 30

Can the Mariners keep the momentum going against the Braves after Mitch Garver’s amazing walk-off home run last night?

The Mariners face the Atlanta Braves in Game 2 of the series, looking to make it five series wins in a row while leading the AL West. The Mariners’ pitching staff has been terrific over the last 15 games. It’s now on to the offense to get things moving, particularly the players acquired by Jerry Dipoto during the offseason.

Probable starting pitchers

Luis Castillo will start for the Mariners, and he has finally begun to resemble the pitcher we all know and love. Castillo allowed four runs in each of his first three starts. Since then, he has made three strong starts in three games, giving four earned runs and striking out 24 hitters. He’ll try to silence the Braves’ batters in this one.

Reynaldo Lopez will start for the Atlanta Braves. This offseason, the Braves signed Lopez to a three-year, $10 million contract and returned him to the starting lineup. Many of the authors at SoDo Mojo wanted the Mariners to sign Lopez this summer. Lopez has been one of baseball’s finest starters thus far in 2024. Lopez has four quality starts this season, with a 0.72 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts. The Mariners’ batters will have their work cut out for them in this game.
