Raphael Dwamena, a former La Liga player, died at the age of 28 from a fatal heart arrest, his club reported. The Ghanaian player was playing in the Albanian Super League for his side KF Egnatia when he collapsed on the pitch on Saturday, and it has been confirmed that he died despite medical staff’s best attempts.
Dwamena collapsed in the 23rd minute of the game between Egnatia and Partizani Tirana on Saturday and with the score level at 1-1, the game was abandoned in the first half.
