Version 1.0.0

Following this week’s training ground injury boost, Newcastle United has many players on the verge of returning to action.

Callum Wilson has returned to full training after missing two months with a pectoral injury and hopes to play a role in Newcastle’s last six games of the season. The Magpies are now sixth in the table and will be attempting to qualify for Europe for the second consecutive season, however Champions League participation is extremely doubtful.

There were no new injury worries following Newcastle’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur the previous game. Jacob Murphy limped out of the match due to a calf cramp, which was later confirmed.

Joe Willock’s Achilles injury ended his season early, while Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles’ seasons were also cut short due to ACL problems.

Miguel Almiron and Joelinton are both back on the field after different injuries. Goalkeeper Nick Pope has not played for Newcastle since early December, but he is nearing a return from a dislocated shoulder.

Newcastle’s next match is a midweek trip to Crystal Palace on April 24 (8pm kick-off), where they want to win their third consecutive Premier League game for the first time since September.

Wilson suffered a pectoral injury in the dying stages of the win over Nottingham Forest in February. He has recently returned to training Estimated return: Crystal Palace

Trippier hasn’t featured since the win over Wolves at the beginning of March. A calf injury has kept him out of action since then and he is expected to miss a couple more weeks. Estimated return: Burnley
