BREAKING NEWS: the eagles coach is furious after losing a crucial player due to…

The Philadelphia Eagles headed to New Jersey to face the New York Giants in the penultimate week of the regular season, with little at stake for either club.

The Eagles’ only path to a higher postseason spot is through the Washington Commanders, who must defeat the Dallas Cowboys in order for Philadelphia to claim the NFC East with a victory.

Still, Philadelphia has a chance to win the NFC East if they beat New York, although it didn’t look like it in the first half. The visiting squad only had one drive across the 50-yard line, which resulted in a fumble. Meanwhile, the Giants looked like the 11-5 squad, with a 24-0 advantage at halftime.

Several Eagles players were injured throughout the first half of Week 18, including standout wide receiver A.J. Brown, who went down holding his knee after a fumble. He was able to walk from the field to the changing room. It is believed to be a non-ACL injury, although he is still uncertain to return.

In addition to Brown’s injury, Jalen Hurts sustained a nasty-looking finger injury on a fourth-down play but was able to return to the game, whilst rookie safety Sydney Brown was sidelined with a knee injury.

Philadelphia’s defense was as poor as it has ever been, allowing 24 points, 272 yards, and 14 first downs in one half to a club that had been averaging 14.9 points and 300.3 yards per game all season.

The offense wasn’t much better, with Hurts completing only 7-of-16 passes for 55 yards and an interception, and the team only managed five first downs.

The Eagles will receive the ball to open the second half after winning the coin toss and electing to defer. They will have a chance to claw their way back into the game and possibly get their 12th win of the season.
