No. 14 LSU prepares for their regular-season finale against Texas A&M this weekend, with Jayden Daniels and his teammates preparing for their final game in Death Valley.
Brian Kelly addressed the media on Monday, providing an injury update on three Tigers who appear to be in position to make an impact against the Aggies.
LSU Injury Report:
Whit Weeks: Available.
Whit Weeks, a true freshman linebacker, did not play on Saturday night against Georgia State after getting stitches in his foot last week.
Kelly characterized it as a “nasty gash” in his foot that required stitches and kept him out on Saturday. Despite having the opportunity to participate on the field, the LSU coaching staff chose to play it cautious and keep him out.
“He had an accident that resulted in a serious gash in his foot. Kelly remarked, “He probably could have played the Georgia State game, but we didn’t push him.” “However, we are going to need him this weekend.”
Diggs has been seen wearing a sling for the past two weeks, but Kelly reports that he is making good progress.
The Tigers’ starting running back will be available for Saturday night’s season finale versus Texas A&M.
Andre Sam: Available.
Safety Andre Sam left Saturday night’s game against Georgia State but is expected to play versus A&M this weekend.
Sam received additional testing and appears to be ready, according to Kelly.
