“Obviously, it’s definitely like a, it’s just such a transition,” Wilkins told reporters. “… There was nothing more I wanted to do than make Miami a winner and give this city, these people, and this organization what they deserved.”

“So, obviously, I focused a lot on doing my bit. Whatever it was, from a leadership position, a playing standpoint, or a community standpoint, I just tried to always do my bit and put my best foot forward, absolutely pouring my heart and soul into everything while I was here with the Dolphins.

“So obviously, it’s different today; it’s a little difficult to move to another organization after putting so much into a team and an organization, but I absolutely feel prepared for it. I’m looking forward to this new challenge, and I absolutely believe it’s part of my purpose. It’s just part of guys playing for me to spread my light in another place and region.

“And that’s exactly what Power Rangers do: they travel wherever there’s a need for some butt-kicking and a fight against evil forces. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in Angel Grove or Planet Phaedo. Okay, I’m being really nerdy right now with the Power Rangers stuff, but you’ve got to follow me.

“… So, like I said, I’m definitely excited to be doing it another city, another location and another storied, historic organization and franchise, so I couldn’t ask to be in a better situation , and I’m just hitting the ground running and I’m locked in.”
