With big sponsorships nearing the end of their current terms and others under public examination, there is a lot of disinformation around the formidable Eels, who are aiming to win their first premiership since 1986.
B&T has you covered on all sponsorship news from the Parramatta Eels.
ALAND, which is now in its final year of their current agreement, has been a proud supporter of the Parramatta Eels since 2016. Over the years, the collaboration has become one of the most well-known in the NRL. The arrangement sees the development, building, sales, and property management company’s emblem prominently displayed on the front and back of the teams’ playing jerseys, perfectly merging in with the team’s colors.
We’re very happy to continue our association with the Mighty Eels. “Parramatta is my hometown; it’s where my heart is, and our company, ALAND, is built around this special place – Sydney’s geographical heart,” stated ALAND founder Andrew Hrsto when the agreement was renewed in 2021. “The Eels reflect that same fire, and we can’t imagine a finer partnership. We have focused our efforts here, have already provided hundreds of homes in the region, and want to provide many more in the coming years.”
In December 2023, a confidential council report was released to the media, revealing numerous sponsorship opportunities accessible to council members.
The Eels confirmed with B&T that what was presented to Council and agreed upon was a full three-year partnership at $1.15 million beginning in January 2024.
Despite public criticism at the time, Councillor Michelle Garrard stated that the corporate collaboration was more than just giving the squad money to do whatever they wanted with it. “There will be deliverables,” she explained. The agreement included money for the women’s game and the council logo appearing on NRLW shirts.
