Villa have six injury absentees ahead of tomorrow’s action.
Boubacar Kamara is recovering from his serious injury and won’t feature until next season.
Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia are making progress in their respective recoveries, which is a positive, but they’re yet to be involved in any matchday squads, so it remains to be seen as to whether they’ll feature.
Jacob Ramsey will be out for the remainder of the season, while Ollie Watkins and Emi Martinez face a late call.
As well as the above, Matty Cash is set to be out for a few weeks after picking up an injury on international duty.
Emi Martinez missed the Manchester City game due to illness, and it is unclear whether he will play tomorrow.
Emery has said he will make a late decision.
Ollie Watkins missed the critical match against Manchester City after being removed at halftime against Wolves.
Emery said this.
“They will not be available tomorrow. They have minor injuries. Jacob Ramsey is not improving as he would want. We’re not in a hurry with him. For tomorrow, he will be unavailable. Ollie’s situation is similar. Ollie’s injury is minor; given a few days recuperation, he may be ready to play in the next encounter.”
And he’s now a late addition to this weekend’s contest.
Matty Cash is expected to miss a few weeks after suffering a minor injury while on international duty with Poland.
Emery issued an update, revealing the broad timeline:
“He came back [from international duty] with a small injury and he is not available for tomorrow.”
He stated that Cash will be unavailable for two to three weeks.
