Florida State suffered a huge loss when it lost quarterback Jordan Travis to injury, but the Seminoles are now dealing with additional issues at quarterback with backup Tate Rodemaker a gametime decision now.
If FSU can pull off the win, it will be the team’s first ACC Championship victory with the potential to make a College Football Playoff appearance since 2014.
Rodemaker did not start versus Louisville, but rookie quarterback Brock Glenn took the field for the Seminoles.
Rodemaker had warmed up on the field with the other quarterbacks before returning to the field in uniform.
He suffered a head injury while starting the team’s final regular season game of 2023, which ended in a 24-15 victory over Florida.
Rodemaker was hit in the head late in the fourth quarter after attempting to scramble. Rodemaker exited the game, but returned for the final three kneel-downs on FSU’s last drive.
According to FSU head coach Mike Norvell, Rodemaker passed initial field testing on Saturday but began to experience symptoms on Sunday.
