NEWS UPDATE: Albama crimson tide coach nick saban announce a devastating news…

Saturday, it will meet Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. In a press conference on Thursday, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban did not seem enthusiastic about Jase McClellan’s health.

According to Saban, McClellan has not been totally engaged this week.

“He hasn’t been able to do much,” Saban explained. “We’ll see how he does today.”

McClellan participated in Saturday’s Iron Bowl thriller at Auburn. He was photographed leaving the field on crutches and wearing a boot.

Saban stated after the game that McClellan’s foot problem had been bothering him all season and had resurfaced against the Tigers.

“We’d have to say he’s probably questionable for the game at this point but it’s probably too early to tell,” Saban told reporters on Thursday.

McClellan leads Alabama in rushing yards this season, with 803 and six touchdowns. Behind him is Roydell Williams, who has 497 yards and four touchdowns.

Other running backs that could see increased action include Jam Miller  Justice Haynes, and Richard Young. Saban has praised the depth of the running backs’ room this season.

This week, No. 8 Alabama will face No. 1 Georgia in the conference title game, with a chance to go to the College Football Playoff on the line. The game is slated to begin at 3 p.m. CT Saturday in Atlanta and will be broadcast on CBS.
