Port Adelaide’s key midfielder, Jason Horne Francis, will miss their match against Richmond due to a hamstring injury.
Horne-Francis developed a soreness during the Power’s Friday training session, prompting the club to sideline him for Sunday’s match at the MCG.
The Power will celebrate club champion Travis Boak’s 350th game, but they will be missing Horne-Francis as they face the winless Tigers.
There are suspicions that the 20-year-old suffered a more serious hamstring strain, although the club has yet to confirm his return date.
Dylan Williams and Jayce Burgyone have joined the team.
Port Adelaide assistant coach Josh Carr offered more light on the odd ailment.
“He came out of the game (round one against West Coast) with a little bit of tightness,” Carr told SEN on Friday.
“I believe it was Tuesday at training; he came up and said he had something that was a little tight but thought he’d be fine.
“We had a training session today, and he just wasn’t up for it. We had him scanned, and he has a slight hamstring injury, which we believe will not keep him out for long.
Carr was unable to guarantee a date for the young star’s comeback, explaining that they will make a decision on where to go at the beginning of next week.
“I think we’ll have a better idea early next week, but he could be able to play next week. “We’ll see how it goes over the weekend,” Carr added.
“But I don’t think it’s anything major.”
