NEWS NOW;’ Frank Vogel updates the injury statuses of three key Suns players for tomorrow’s game….
Following today’s practice at the Verizon 5G Performance Center, Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel disclosed the injury status of Jusuf Nurkić (right ankle sprain), Eric Gordon (left groin pain), and Bradley Beal (left hamstring tightness).
Due to his injury, Beal has missed four straight games. Gordon did not play in Sunday’s 123-113 victory over the Lakers. After missing the previous game due to a sprained right ankle, Nurkić was able to play on Sunday. Following the win, he expressed his gratitude for the few days off he had to rest his ankle.
During yesterday’s practice, all three of these players exclusively engaged in non-contact training.
Vogel states that Beal and Gordon’s availability for tomorrow night’s game against the Houston Rockets is uncertain. Although Nurkić is still experiencing pain, Vogel stated that “he’s good to go” and that it will either not be listed or be probable.
Gordon and Beal both took part in the no-contact (practice) segment today, according to Vogel. “We’ll watch to see how they react.”
Phoenix would welcome the return of these three players to exact revenge on the Rockets for last week’s 114-110 setback. Phoenix is 1-2 since the All-Star break.
Vogel stated, “(That was) definitely a game that we felt like we let get away, especially the way we jumped out on them early.” “The guys will be driven to regain it while maintaining their responsibilities at home court.”
The first of the team’s next two home games versus the Rockets is scheduled to begin just after 7 p.m. Mountain Standard Time tomorrow. Right now, the Suns are riding a strong eight-game home winning streak.
