Tannenbaum stated that if Fields beats Pickett, he could be a quarterback around whom the Steelers can develop.
“If I’m Mike Tomlin, I’m looking at the long term, and as you’ve mentioned several times on the air, Justin Fields is younger than Kenny Pickett.” When asked who the Steelers should pick if both Fields and Cousins are available, Tannenbaum responded, “You can get him for two years, about $28 million.”
Fields may use a change of scenery following three years of inconsistency and difficulties against the Bears. Playing in an established program like the Steelers, under an incredible coach like Tomlin, is precisely what he needs to revitalize his career.
