Jordan Love earned around $15 million in 2024, including all bonuses, following a fantastic first season as the Green Bay Packers’ quarterback.
While some may have scoffed at the Packers’ willingness to pay an inexperienced quarterback so soon after Aaron Rodgers’ departure, Love swiftly silenced his critics with an outstanding season.
The financial drawback of all of this is that the Packers will now have to spend significantly more money to keep the 25-year-old on board.
The Green Bay Packers will need to pay Jordan Love the big bucks.
Joel Corry, a former sports agent turned NFL contract specialist, recently provided light on what a Jordan Love extension could look like for the Packers. Green Bay does not appear to have any intentions of playing around, which is why they will allegedly be discussing a new deal for Love shortly:
“The Packers and Love’s camp are expected to begin negotiations on a contract extension following the 2024 Draft in late April. It wouldn’t be surprising if Love aimed for more than Rodgers’ final agreement with the Packers in 2022, which paid him $50,271,667 each year ($150.815 million over three years). Corry noted that Love was more effective last season than the four-time NFL MVP was in 2022, when the Packers finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs.
That’s a lot of money. $50 million a season for Love implies a more than 300% increase over his 2024 salary, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the game today.
For what it’s worth, Joe Burrow presently leads the quarterback wealthy list at $55 per, a record that could be broken in the near future.
