Where did the Dallas Cowboys rank among the most sad and unhappy NFL fanbases in 2023?

A poll was recently conducted to determine the top ten most saddened fan bases from the previous season, and the Dallas Cowboys were unsurprisingly included.

Sportsgeek looked into any angry or unhappy posts made by NFL fans on X, Instagram, and Facebook about their team.

They looked at the number of unhappy and furious posts, as well as the specific dates when those numbers spiked.

Often, the most disgruntled sports fans are those whose team is successful but does not win the championship.

Only two non-playoff fan bases in the 2023 NFL season made the top ten list.

At #10, the Chicago Bears received 216,930 upset posts, with 18% being sad and 23% being angry.

The day after they defeated the Washington Commanders, October 6, we witnessed a rise of 25,140 unhappy posts.

The New York Jets were the other non-playoff team to make the list, ranking seventh with 267,400 heartbreaking posts, 11% sad and 21% angry.

Their biggest rise was on September 12, the day after Aaron Rodgers sustained a season-ending injury, when 26,780 people posted upset messages.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in tenth place, with 222,330 sorrowful postings, the most of which came in Week Five (19,540).

The Green Bay Packers ranked seventh with 230,150 postings, including 43,030 shared by supporters on January 21, the day after Anders Carlson missed a possible game-tying field goal in the Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

The Baltimore Ravens fans are only ahead of the Jets, with 296,810 postings, including 67,000 upset posts on January 28 after losing the AFC Championship to the Kansas City Chiefs.

On January 14, the Dolphins had 30,520 sorrowful posts after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, bringing their total to 298,290 this season.

Detroit LiBuffalo Bills supporters are well-versed in heartbreak, with 45,400 posts the day after their playoff loss to the Chiefs, and 331,930 unhappy posts this season.

There were high hopes that the 2023 Dallas Cowboys may compete for a championship, and many supporters were understandably disappointed after their elimination.

America’s Team had the most disgruntled fans this season, owing primarily to their humiliating playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Fans expressed their disgust online as the Packers pummeled Jerry Jones’ club on the field.

34,860 people took to social media that day to express their disappointment with the Cowboys’ performance.

389,150 heartbreaking posts were posted about the Cowboys, with 15% being sad and 21% being outraged.

Until they win another Lombardi Trophy, that figure is certain to rise.
