DEAD LUCK: Tottenham devastated by brutal rejection; La Liga star reveals he’s better off excelling in Spain.

Tottenham Hotspur will struggle to get Loic Bade, as the Frenchman has outlined why he wants to stay at Sevilla.

Last summer, Tottenham and Manchester United both considered signing Bade to improve their defensive ranks. However, the two clubs chose to prioritise other moves, thus the centre-back remained at Sevilla.

Tottenham once again targeted Bade in the January transfer window. However, the North London side did not pursue their interest further, and it appears that a transaction would never be completed.

In an interview with Spanish site Estadio Deportivo, Bade acknowledged that clubs are ‘interested’ in signing him, but he believes it is best for his future if he continues to develop at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

“It’s normal.” I attempt to work and concentrate on the games. Then there’s football; sometimes teams are interested, but we work,” the athlete explained.

When asked if he’d contemplate moving to the Premier League with Tottenham this summer, Bade said, “No, no.” Better here; I’m extremely satisfied.”

Bade’s move to Tottenham would not be his first experience in England; he was on loan at Nottingham Forest from September to December 2022. However, the former France U21 international failed not make a single game for Forest, and the loan was ended in January 2023.

Bade went on to spend the second part of the season on loan at Sevilla. After impressing coaches in La Liga, club officials were persuaded to pay Rennes €12 million to sign him permanently last summer.

Spurs will be disappointed that they are unable to sign Bade, a brilliant young defender with the ability to thrive at the highest level. However, Ange Postecoglou already has a right-footed defender who can cover and compete in Cristian Romero.

Radu Dragusin is the player in question, having joined Spurs from Genoa for £25.7 million last month. Dragusin is still adjusting to life in England, having made three appearances for Spurs thus far.
