Tottenham Hotspur have received a £92 million windfall ahead of another big summer.

Tottenham Hotspur is now one of the world’s richest clubs, with another £92 million in the bank.
Tottenham Hotspur have earned an additional £92 million, bringing the north London club to mega-rich status ahead of another busy summer.

The Lilywhites have been one of the most busy Premier League clubs in the market over the last two transfer windows, selling talismanic all-time scorer Harry Kane and using the proceeds to fund a full-fledged reconstruction under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

The club recorded a 22.7 percent income rise this time last year, with chairman Daniel Levy stating, “Our spend levels show we have invested in the team.” Tottenham have made ten permanent signings in the last 12 months.

TheTottenham HotspurStadium has also hosted concerts by Beyonce, and a UEFA assessment shows that Spurs’ revenue has increased by €108 million, which is about equivalent to £92.

Tottenham are one of the great winners in English football, according to the latest European Club Finance and Investment Landscape analysis, the European football governing body’s yearly benchmarking analysis on European club football, with revenue increasing by 21% as the Lilywhites continue to soar.

“On average, the revenue of the top 20 clubs by total revenue grew by an extremely healthy 15.7 per cent in 2023, compared with an average of 11.7 per cent across all early-reporting clubs, with only three clubs reporting declines in revenue,” according to the research. West Ham United, Atletico Madrid, and Liverpool were the three clubs in question for their downturn.

However, the analysis found that the most significant absolute income growth were outside of the Premier League.

Barcelona (€176 million), Paris Saint-Germain (€137 million), Milan (€126 million), and Napoli (€120 million) all profited in the previous year, with three of the four winning their domestic leagues and Milan reaching the Champions League semi-finals, making Tottenham’s revenue growth even more significant. For the first time since 2009/10, the north Londoners did not qualify for European football.

According to UEFA, the Premier League continues to be the biggest revenue generator. Of the top 20 clubs in the study, nine are from England: Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United, West Ham, and Brighton & Hove Albion (in that order).

The survey includes four clubs from Italy, three from Spain, three from Germany, and only PSG from France. The list is also clearly divided into three brackets, with the richest ten clubs distinguished from the next six and the four after that.

According to European Football Association (UEFA), “Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus figures have provided UEFA with abbreviated figures for 2023 to enable their inclusion in the top 20 analysis.”
