The Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love stunned the NFL world in 2023.
After many expected the Packers to struggle following the franchise-altering Aaron Rodgers transaction, they ended up being one of the final four teams standing in the NFC. The Packers had many memorable games last season, but one stood out for Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love remembers one defense more than the others from the 2023 season.
On Radio Row during Super Bowl LVIII, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love assessed the toughest defenses he faced this season.
Love’s list ranks the Kansas City Chiefs first. Not surprising given that Steve Spagnuolo’s defense concluded the regular season ranked second in yards allowed and sacks.
Despite throwing for 256 yards and three touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings on December 31, Love rated their defense second. The San Francisco 49ers’ defense rated third among all the clubs he faced this season.
Despite stating the Chiefs had the strongest defense he’d faced this season, Love told Dan Patrick on Friday that he’d welcome another opportunity against the 49ers.
“Being a competitor I’d like to see that #Niners team to be able to prove that we can beat them,” Love stated in a tweet.
The Packers will not meet the 49ers or Chiefs in the 2024 regular season. Love’s only chance to face the 49ers again will be in the playoffs. What about the Chiefs, in the meantime? The Packers will have to face them in Super Bowl 59.
