BREAKING: 6X Pro Bowl Philadelphia Eagles veteran has agreed to join the Pittsburgh Steelers and is well prepare to…

6 x Pro Bowl Philadelphia Eagles great reveals desire to join the Pittsburgh Steelers.

When you’ve spent your entire career with one franchise, it must be difficult to consider wearing another team’s uniform. While it happens every year in every sport, the Philadelphia Eagles could lose one of their most well-known players this offseason through free agency.

Fletcher Cox wants to join the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Twelve years after being selected 12th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox may have played his final down with the only professional organization he has ever known. He has one year remaining on his contract with a modest cap charge of $5.7 million.

With the Eagles investing extensively in the trenches in previous draft classes by picking Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter, it looks that Philadelphia does not have a strong need for Cox to return, at least not in a prominent capacity.

While Cox, 33, is growing older, he certainly still has a couple more strong seasons in him, but they may not be in Philadelphia.

During a recent interview on the podcast of Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle and recent NFL Man of the Year award winner Cam Heyward, Cox was asked which team he’d like to play for if it wasn’t the Eagles.

Cox made it clear that he wanted to play for the Steelers, where he could pair up with Heyward.

“It is all love. Simply put, you have respect for the game, as I do for it. The way you play the game and the way I play the game, we could definitely play together. It would have been nice. “We could make some things happen.”

If the Eagles are looking for a trade partner for Cox, the Steelers may be willing to step up. As previously said, Cox has a tradeable contract that will not be a burden for whoever acquires him, and his record, which includes 70 sacks and six Pro Bowl appearances, speaks for itself.
